The formations and usesof names in different races:
Each race is labeled as their 3 most important names, first is the "Dari", then the "Forsantican", and finally in Common Tongue the (see Language Page for more information)

Szachlen/Nendari/Humans : Humans have two names, the first of which is usually from their local area or traditional background- it may have a meaning, but generally the original meaning has been lost. These names are reused only within their local area, some names go in and out of fashion. The second name a human has is based upon the job occupation of their parents, usually their father. e.g. "Jeshandi Shenrali"- "jeshandi" is a local name from the area near Regatti in Susuria, while "Shenrali" roughly translates from the Susurian as "horse tamer" after his father's occupation.
In introduction it is customary only to give first names, or even nicknames. Nicknames play an important role in society; there are two principal kinds, the first of which is simply a shortening of an original name, dennoting familiarity. The second however, is one that is earned, and often can become an alias. This second nickname may be beneficial or a hindrance, flattering or insulting- it becomes part of ones individual identity; this is especially important as first names are often shared by others in the area. Thus, unlike any other race, humans have to earn their individual and distinctive mark in society, making their names much more fitting to them as a person, while at the same time very exclusive to those who can not force their way up the social ladder.e.g. "The Red Fox"- Geneva's code name, "Red" refering to what could be a number of different things: her hair, the blood of victims, her success as an assasin, or even her beng in keeping to the true colours of a fox. "Fox" denotes her sly, quick, silent ability and also suggests that she is untrustworthy. Such a nickname is beneficial to an assasin looking for employment.

Ai'zoë/Mor'ei'thael/Dark Elves: Dark Elves have three names. Their first name is a unique name that is carefully selected and given to them at birth. Their second name consists of their father's name along with the Dari suffix "-nachto", meaning "son of", or "-nera", meaning "daughter of". The third name is the clan name of the dark elf at their birth. e.g. "Flane Jesparnachto Erenaeoth"- "Flane" is a unique name chosen by his father at birth with dual meaning of different natures in both Ganeri and Forsantican, "Jesparnachto" is Flane's father "Jespar" with the suffix "nachto"/"son of", finally "Erenaeoth" is Flane's clan (note: Flane's father, Jespar, has the clan name "Dekhani", despite being Clan Lord of Clan Erenaeoth, as at birth his father's clan name was made his own, hence Jespar Mormeigannachto Dekhani)
Required honourable introduction dictates that a dark elf must give all three of their names to another in greeting, or just their first two when meeting a fellow clansmen. To only give a first name is to show disrespect to the stranger, while in formal occasions the last two names alone may be used. Clans may be obliterated, and clan names thus rendered useless. When this occurs, dark elves often choose to leave off this clan name, as an obliterated clan is one with no honour. In the case of exile, the dark elf is forbidden on pain of death to attatch their clan name to their own. Thus a clan name comes to be a symbol of honour and power.

Kandi/Mi'skei/Elves: The elves use only one name, followed by their town or village name. This one name usually has a meaning in Forsantican, but such meaning is not important. It is unlikely that the same name will reoccur within the same generation, they are not, unlike dark elf names, specifically unique to an individual. e.g. "Lanorin Erimor"- "Lanorin" translates into "echoeing mountain", a name chosen for beauty rather than for any particular meaning, while "Erimor" is his birth place and holds his family origins.
However, in Forsantica, the use of suffixs is much more pronounced that anywhere else in the world (Both Ganeri and Dari suffixs exist, but both are reserved for deliberate or extreme circumstances). Particularly in the Royal Court at Ilindar, suffixs of honour are used to denote status. The usual suffixs "Laehon"- Lord, "Laeha"- Lady, "Lei"- Sir, "Lis"- Madam, become much more pronounced in this environment, the first two are used when addressing one of higher rank, while the remaining are customarily used to address those of lower rank. (this explicit hierachy between people is only present in the Royal Court, suffixs are used a little more sparingly around the rest of Forsantica)
