The World is divided into many realms, kingdoms empires, republics and savage lands. There are five principal realms of importance in Guardian, though a further two are refered to numerous times;
Dargonir- in the common tongue it is refered to as "the Realm of Shadow"; the northern most realm; the oldest of all the realms; primarily inhabited by Dark elves, though with 3 human cities interspersed (Ecolan, Tyndoth, Helis); primary language is Ganeri(dark elf), though Dari(dark elf) and the common tongue(human) spoken as well; has had a history of cruelty and darkness; most of it is covered in ice, and barren; ruled by clans which own different areas of land.
Forsantica- in the common tongue it is refered to as "the Realm of Hope"; the eastern most realm; the 2nd oldest of all the realms; inhabited by Elves; primary language is Forsantican (elf), though the common tongue(human) is also understood; mythologically known throughout the world as `heaven on earth'; has by far the most stunning landscape in the world- it's breathtaking beauty has been idolised through the ages; ruled by a King and a Royal Council.
Kantor- in the common tongue it is refered to as "the Realm of Defence"; the central realm; inhabited primarily by Humans, though also by half elves; primary language is the common tongue(human), though most also speak Forsantican (elf); Squared in by mountains, it has long since held the task of defending Forsantica from infiltration from Mindon, to which it is very well suited; has a rugged hilly landscape, and is rich in iron; ruled by the King of Forsantica, governed by the Lord of Kantor.
Susuria- in the common tongue it is refered to as "the Southern Realm"; though the Susurians would have you call it The Empire of Susuria; inhabited by Humans; primary language is Susurian(human), though the common tongue(human) is also understood; has had a history of distrust and internal war; rich in silk and spicies, with the most advanced trade routes in the world; ruled by an Emperor (authoritarian).
Mindon- in the common tongue it is refered to as "the Fallen Realm"; the western most realm; the youngest of all the realms; inhabited by Humans; language spoken is only the common tongue(human); the least advanced of all the realms, only legally recognises Susuria as another existing realm, though there are rumours of other realms over the mountains (which are impassable- any that succesfully crossed them were dispatched by Kantorian soldiers); has a landscape scarred by ruins of dead civilisations and not so recent wars; ruled by `The Ringleader' and a council, which is very corrupt.
[Tenoria]- The Free-Slaver Isles based west of Mindon, inhabited by humans, primarily of importance for its conflicting diplomatic stance with Mindon.
[Aleysia]- One of the oldest realms, but now deceased. Aleysia has no inhabitants, and the ancient race of centaurs that lived there is now extinct. It's primary importance today is what it represents- the fall of a great nation, and land haunted by the horrors that brought it low hundreds of years ago
